1. Mario

2. Luigi

Princess Peach hails from the Mushroom Kingdom. Sometimes, she’s called as Princess Toadstool. She is constantly being attacked by King Bowser and that’s why she always needs help. Mario became her unlikely hero when he suddenly appeared in her kingdom. Princess Peach has long, blonde, and beautiful hair and always wears a pink gown.

4. Toad

Toad is Princess Peach’s loyal attendants. Whenever the princess is abducted, he runs to Mario and tells everything. It is from Toad that Mario learns all the ins and outs of the Mushroom Kingdom. Toad’s primary role is the game helper.

5. Yoshi

Yoshi is a cute green dinosaur that helps Mario in his quests. When Mario rides his back, he gains special powers. Yoshi serves as the sidekick of both Mario and Luigi, a role that he doesn’t actually like. Yoshi is first introduced in the Super Mario World game title.

6. Birdo

Birdo is Yoshi’s counterpart. She’s cute and pink, although debates arouse as to whether she’s a girl or a boy. With her ribbon and all, the name Birdetta is definitely more fitting than Birdo. Controversies surround this Mario game character that’s the reason why she didn’t become all that popular

7. Bowser

King Bowser is the main antagonist of Mario games. He also comes by the name King Koopa. He’s a big angry dinosaur who wants nothing but to take over Princess Peach’s kingdom. And that’s the reason why he always kidnaps her. In her absence, Koopa can rule. But that’s something Mario won’t let happen.

8. Bowser Jr.

Bowser has many sons and Bowser Jr. is his eighth. Bowser Jr. debuted in Super Mario Sunshine and since then, he became a regular part of the game series. Bowser Jr. is King Koopa’s favorite child. And it’s mostly because he always wants to do his father’s wishes.
